Hallam, Catherine

Hallam,

Catherine (she/her) was born on the unceded traditional territory of the Algonquin Anishinabeg and the people of the Algonquin Anishinabeg Nation (Ottawa, Ontario), and is a settler of English, Irish, Scottish, Ukrainian, and Polish descent. She has lived with her family on the traditional unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation for twelve years. Her career in arts education has taken her around the world teaching for almost twenty years teaching both kids and adults. She holds a particular interest in using the arts as a means to further social justice and is passionate about grassroots community arts initiatives. A mother of two, she loves spending time in nature around Gabriola and Vancouver Island with her kids, cats, and extended family. She holds a BA in Visual Communication, BA in Applied Arts (Fashion Marketing), and a B Ed in Arts Education.
