What Stories Do We Tell?

Did you know that at Nanaimo Art Gallery we build our annual programs and exhibitions around shared inquiries? Each year we ask a big question that resonates in our community, providing a touchstone to guide and inspire our work.

Beginning in April 2022 our current inquiry, What Stories Do We Tell? will be extended over two years, allowing a wide range of voices and narratives to build on each other. Along with exhibitions, we’ll offer many exciting programs for you to connect with others, express yourself, tell stories, and share your passion for art.

Hul’q’umi’num Classes

We are now taking registrations for our Hul’q’umi’num classes; there are beginner and intermediate options. We have reserved a number of spaces for Snuneymuxw members to take this course for free. Please add your name to the waitlist (click the arrow) to be contacted or phone the front desk directly at 250-754-1750. Seats cannot be held and will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
